Permanent collection “The Story of Manor Era”

Experience the permanent collection exhibited in the manor house of Anija Manor first-hand. Visitors can experience the manor’s atmosphere as it was in the past – as if the gentlefolk had just risen from the dining table and went for a walk. The sounds of manor life can be heard and you can feel the atmosphere of the lost era. The rulers of the manor reveal themselves from the twilight of time. Suddenly you can discover yourself as a guest of the nobles – a participant in a historical scene. You will be „accompanied“ by a guide – a historical figure from the Manor Era.

The exhibition features stories about Anija Manor, its nobles and peasants based on the research of art historian Juhan Maiste.

It takes about an hour to visit the permanent collection.

The permanent exhibition is suitable for visiting independently, but together with the visiting guide you will notice details and hear exciting stories that you would not know otherwise.
